I did it.
6 years into business.
I finally did it.
I was able to treat my parents to a vacation in Punta Cana over Christmas. Truthfully, this has been on my bucket list for many years of things that I wanted to do.
As a kid my parents took me on many vacations.
I felt super fortunate to have parents like them growing up.
They always believed in me and I really think I get a lot of my confidence to take risks in business from their belief in me.
We did a ton of fun things including renting a yacht for the day in Romana DR. I am still in shock that I was finally able to do it.
Recently I was sharing with our private clients the power of beliefs.
I explained to them this simple formula
1. Beliefs create thoughts
2. Thoughts often form actions
3. Our actions bring forth momentum
4. It’s that momentum that creates the results
I said to our clients that oftentimes we try to create new habits and actions without first fixing the well. It is true. I have tried it. It does not work.
I shared a story about how early on in business I held a belief that no one could do things as fast or as good as me.
I also believed that I didn’t have the money to hire.
And those beliefs held me back from hiring and growing my business.
It wasn’t until I started writing things down in 2020 after attending a Brendon Burchard conference that things began to change for me.
I am convinced that there is power in shifting our beliefs through writing things down that we see in the future.
I said to our clients that by simply shifting our belief to “I prospect because I believe I can help more families find their dream home”… That belief ultimately shifts the paradigm of how we show up. If we try to approach things without first fixing the belief the behaviour does not tend to stick.
So I don’t know where you are in your world or what beliefs might be holding you back… But like I said to our private clients… One of the most powerful things you can do for yourself this year is write out your 10 money, family, business and health beliefs and read them everyday.
