Tips For Time Management

I wanted to drop in here and share with you some things I have learned over the last year from one of my mentors, Brendon Burchard.

In 2020 I attended a Brendon Burchard conference that literally changed my life and business and has greatly impacted everyone on our team.

You may have heard me speak about the power of automating, delegating and removing non-needle moving activities in the past, but another key thing I learned from doing high performance coaching with Brendon’s team was the power of blocked time.

This is one of my favourite videos where Brendon talks about how we create momentum in our lives when we own our calendar: https://youtu.be/jBfhefEWd-c

Here’s what I’ve learned a long the way – time blocking and owning your calendar creates freedom and growth.

See… We all know the fortunes in the follow up.

After observing hundreds of clients it’s clear.

If you time-block your follow ups in your calendar, I guarantee you will make more money.

If you want to make more money, you need to manage your pipeline.

There’s no doubt in my mind that if it’s not in your calendar, it’s not getting done or done well.

I’ve seen this even with our own staff.

Time-blocking works.

Time-blocking holds you accountable.

Time-blocking will make you more money.

Brendon Burchard says this all the time after researching the highest performers in the world.

“Your confidence is in your calendar. Manage your calendar well, and progress comes in”

Simply put, if it’s not in your calendar, it’s not getting done.

We run tons of reactivation campaigns weekly and I often see people that say many people, “are just browsing”… the thing is, these people end up buying 2 months later when we run that reactivation campaign.

Why do they choose someone else?

Because of lack of consistency in follow up.

People are only browsing because they haven’t found what they want yet.

Or… they’re just using that canned response everyone says when they walk into a store even when they want to buy, “oh i was just looking”

There are two important mindset and habit shifts I’ve seen our team and clients make towards growth.

1. Stop believing that these people are “just looking” or “just browsing”… Scheduling consistent follow ups is important and your ability to ask better questions will increase your income.

2. Believe that you will grow by managing your calendar well. Schedule 1 hour everyday towards simply reaching out to past clients and managing your pipeline. You need to understand where everyone’s at in your customer journey.

I hope this helps
