Pawel Dwulit

Storytelling is something that unites all humans. It is instinctual and makes us all feel human and equal.

After graduating from the University of Ottawa with a BA in History, Pawel discovered his passion for documenting stories from behind the lens, receiving a diploma in Photojournalism from Loyalist College. Pawel then had real world training as a Photojournalist for the likes of the Canadian Press, Toronto Star and Ottawa Citizen. He also had stints as an associate photo editor in video at the Globe & Mail and as a multimedia producer at The National in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

Pawel transitioned from editorial to commercial work in recent years, and has worked as a Director of Photography / Cinematographer on commercials for brands such as GM, Nike, Coca-Cola, NBA, YMCA and Air Miles. As well, he has been a part of B to B digital strategies for Bayer, Pfizer, Boeringer-Ingelheim, CBC and various private corporations.

Pawel and his company PWD Visuals are excited to collaborate with the StudioPTBO team and bring cinematic storytelling production services to new clients. PWD offers full production services from the initial creative to final deliverable. They also offer drone/aerial services with a Transport Canada Advanced Pilot Certificate and insured for up to $6 million in liability.

“Storytelling is something that unites all humans,” says Pawel, a world traveller. “Filmmaking has the best balance of creativity and locking people into cathartic moments by telling stories visually.”
