Nick McLean

Developer

Nick first developed an interest in coding in his high school programming class: “I blew through the course material in the first half of the semester,” he says. “I was instantly in love with the beauty of logic.”

He loves the challenge that programming brings. “I love logic — it makes sense even when it doesn’t,” he says.

Some of his greatest accomplishments professional and personal include:

-> was part of the Vote Compass team. (“This app handled thousands of requests per minute and has been used by millions of users across the world,” he explains.)
-> developed a training application for pacemakers and implantable defibrillators.
-> worked on a small part of the Hockey Night in Canada anniversary website.
-> has lost 60 pounds over the last year. (“It’s still a work in progress,” he says.)

When Nick isn’t coding, you might find him fishing, or kicking back listening to all genres of music while enjoying a glass of good whisky and playing cards.

Nick loves working with the StudioPTBO team because they are great communicators and collaborators, provide a genuine attention to detail, and are passionate about producing terrific content for clients. “The entire team works as one for flawless executions,” he says.

“Do you know what the big problem is in telling fantasy and reality apart? They’re both ridiculous.” —Dr Who
